As fuel prices continue to skyrocket and the cost of air fares are steadily climbing, people are looking for alternative ways of traveling. Many are turning to the convenience of group travel on a luxury motor coach as the answer. Do you or someone you know have talent? The Tennessee Valley Fair is looking for undiscovered singers, dancers, and instrumentalists to compete in the 26th Annual Regional Youth Talent Contest. The Regional Youth Talent Contest will be held Wednesday, September 10th at 5 p.m. at the Pepsi Community Entertainment Tent. Contestants must be ages 13-21 years old and invited from a previously sanctioned contest by the Tennessee Valley Fair. This contest is designed to discover, develop and encourage young amateur entertainers in East Tennessee.

What is big, purple and coming to Knoxville Zoo? It’s Barney! Join Barney and his friends the Berenstain Bears from PBS Sprout™ on Saturday, July 19 at Knoxville Zoo. Visitors will have the opportunity to watch and participate as Barney performs his 20-minute Sing-Along at the zoo’s News Sentinel Amphitheatre (Bird Show stage) at 10:30 a.m., 12:30 p.m. and 3:30 p.m. Limited seating is available.

A Civil War exhibition will be on display at the Smoky Mountains Heritage Center. 

Monday, 21st:

Knox Co. Museum of Education History are accepting vistors between 2 p.m. and 5 p.m. at Knoxville High School.

Tuesday, 22nd:

Cumberland County Playhouse will host auditions for it's production of "South Pacific" at 5 p.m.
