As gas prices go up, auto deaths drop
High gas prices could turn out to be a lifesaver for some drivers.
The authors of a new study say gas prices are causing driving declines
that could result in a third fewer auto deaths annually, with the most
dramatic drop likely to be among teen drivers.
Center of Women and Children’s Health hires new vice president
The University of Tennessee Medical Center recently named Peggy
Hotz as vice president of the Center for Women and Children’s
Health. In that role, Hotz will provide executive leadership at the
medical center while developing strategies and tactics to further
strengthen the patient care and services offered to women and children
throughout the community.
Mammogram screening offered
The University of Tennessee Medical Center’s Breast Health
Outreach Program will offer screening mammograms 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Saturday, July 19th at Beaumont Baptist Church, located at 1502
Beaumont Avenue in Knoxville.
Staying cool in the summer heat
