What
is big, purple and coming to Knoxville Zoo? It’s
Barney! Join Barney and his friends the Berenstain Bears from PBS
Sprout™ on Saturday, July 19 at Knoxville Zoo.
Visitors will have the opportunity to watch and participate as Barney
performs his 20-minute Sing-Along at the zoo’s News Sentinel
Amphitheatre (Bird Show stage) at 10:30 a.m., 12:30 p.m. and 3:30
p.m. Limited seating is available.
Popular Sprout characters, the Berenstain Bears, will be available at
the Comcast Sponsor Village in the zoo’s plaza at various times
throughout the day for photo opportunities and to greet guests.
Guests are encouraged to bring a copy of their current Comcast billing
statement to receive a free child’s admission with a paid adult
admission or $5 off a Knoxville Zoo annual membership. A current
Comcast account statement must be presented at the time of purchase to
receive the discount. Limit two free children’s admissions
per statement or one membership discount per statement. Valid on
July 19, 2008 only. Not good with any other discounts, coupons or
promotions.
Don’t let a forecast of rain keep you from heading out to
Knoxville Zoo! Knoxville Zoo is providing each guest with their
very own rain insurance plan.
If it rains during a visit to Knoxville Zoo, guests may request a pass
for a free return visit valid through the end of the year.
Each guest may request “raincheck” pass issued on the same
day from Knoxville Zoo’s ticket booth. Passes will be given
in exchange for that days paid ticket stub. In order to receive a
pass for a free return visit, each guest must present their Knoxville
Zoo ticket stub showing paid admission on that rainy day.
If the weather forecast calls for rain, remember two very important
things; a twenty-percent chance of rain means an eighty-percent chance
of sun, and if it rains during your visit, you can come back any day,
this year for free!
