Leadership Anderson County, sponsored by the Anderson County Chamber of Commerce, is accepting applications for 2010.
The sessions are scheduled for one full-day a month from May, 2010 through March, 2011. Anderson County is a unique area that offers a rich heritage and an exciting future. The Leadership program is committed to the development of leaders that will continue to build on Anderson County’s history of success.
What is Leadership Anderson County? The program, limited to 25 participants, is designed to introduce existing and emerging leaders to their community — or — their community to them.
The program offers participants an opportunity to better understand community dynamics, build their community connection to local business and industry, refine their knowledge of local and state government, and stimulate future participation and commitment to their community.
What does the Leadership program include?
The all-inclusive tuition of $700 per participant covers all program expenses. The program provides an introduction to all aspects of Anderson County, 8 full day tours of the area focusing on Economic Development, Education, Health Services, Media, Tourism, City, County and State government, a cruise on beautiful Norris Lake, and an overnight trip to Nashville for an opportunity to make connections at the state level.
The curriculum also includes sessions on Applied Leadership Skills and Team building. Once the program is completed graduates of Leadership Anderson County will be honored at a special graduation dinner.
