Callaway Gardens was founded in 1952 to bring man closer to nature.
The 13,000-acre Pine Mountain, Ga., resort has done just that with its 1,000 tropical butterflies, plants and birds.
Now, nature lovers can live among all of this beauty at one of the resort’s new communities, which include the following:
•Highland Park: 41 lots in heavily wooded settings with trails to lake and beach areas. Select lots have views of the Twin Oaks fairways and practice facility.
•Mountain View Cottages: 30 homesites, created with the golf enthusiast in mind. Units will be fully furnished and feature two or more bedrooms. All golf amenities will be within walking distance, and other activities will be reachable by electric golf carts.
•Camp Callaway: 47 cabins, some of which are waterfront or have views of Pine Mountain Ridge. Units will be 900-1,300 sq. feet in size. One-bedroom/One-bunkroom and two-bedroom/two-bunkroom units will be available fully furnished.
All units are geo-thermally heated and cooled.
•Sky View Meadows: Owners can live on or near the golf course in one 48 homesites that will be available in the first phase.
“It’s an opportunity to live among the gardens. All of the homes are eco-friendly, and we are upholding the standards for them to be EarthCraft Certified. This will reduce their utility bills and protect the environment at the same time,” said Callaway Gardens spokesperson Jamie Myette.
“With Callaway Gardens being only an hour away from Atlanta, it makes the perfect second home for people from Knoxville.
“All residents will have access to Callaway Garden’s wonderful activities and workshops.”
The best way to decide if Callaway Gardens would make a good second home is to stay at one of the resort’s many lodging facilities from the rustic yet elegant lodge to the ultra luxurious, secluded villas.
Rest assured, there is plenty for every family member to enjoy at Callaway Gardens. Adults will enjoy unwinding at the spa, while children and teens can swim at Robin Lake Beach.
Plus, guests will want to tour the breathtaking Callaway Gardens, where they will see azaleas, vegetables and a variety of other plant life.
