Ruth’s cap nets $328,000 at auction
Another
man’s sweat has never been so expensive. On July 14, a
sweat-stained baseball hat worn by New York Yankees legend Babe Ruth
was auctioned for a record $328,000. Hunt Auctions claims the cap
dating back to the 1920s is one of only three Yankees hats in existence
worn by the Sultan of Swat during games. The surname Ruth and his
initials, G.H. for George Herman, are embroidered inside.
